Approximately 200 construction workers attend to express the urgency to work, but the works are stopped

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- A group of construction workers and real estate entrepreneurs, demonstrated outside a law firm to protest what they consider an abuse, the interposition of legal issues to the execution of their works because they say they have a building license and comply with all the regulations, said the real estate entrepreneur, Carlos Escobar.

“There are around 200 builders, only the work of the people who are losing it is being defended, because of the pressures of this office against our works,” he said.

The businessman indicated that there are around 11 works stopped, since 2016 that feel harassed.

“He is harassing us; they put legal resources to stop our construction licenses, our environmental impacts, and that stops the license and we can not start with it, they are pure assumptions, “he said.

To the point of protest came the municipal authorities, in this case the secretary of the City, Jose de Jesus Flores Segura and the director of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, David González Torrentera, who spoke with the protesters and asked them not to block streets, besides assuring them that this Thursday they would have an appointment with the mayor of Mazatlan.
