Sergio Torres, Secretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Government of the State of Sinaloa, said that this program, which this year aims to reach a goal of 30 million freed young, is thanks to the support of state governor, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, as well as to the works that are developed in the breeding center of El Varejonal, where the young are cultivated

He added that the present administration provides this benefit to fishermen of dams, dikes, lakes, and lagoons completely free of charge, as part of the re-launch program of the fishing sector that seeks to improve the standard of living of fishermen and their families. 

This is the second delivery of baby tilapia that is carried out this year, the first of which was in the Sinaloa dam, with a million specimens, and will soon be intensified planting them throughout the state.
