He said that they are already accommodated in the penitentiary of Mazatlan, Culiacán, and Ahome and none have asked for change, on the contrary, many are from Sinaloa and the transfer has favored them to have their families closer.

“So far nothing, the inmates who were in the Islas Marías is because they had certain parameters of conduct more favorable, they were not highly dangerous criminals. They agreed to some because they are from the state, visits are facilitated and the goal is to achieve social reintegration, “he said.

Questioned if the inmates have had difficulties to adapt from the jail of the Islas Marías where they come from, which was basically a town and its bars were the ocean, he responded that they have not had any complaints or demonstrations from the inmates in that sense.

In the case of the two families of prisoners interned in the Aguaruto prison who requested transfer to the Goros II prison because they are originally from Ahome, he explained that the Secretariat or prison authorities can intervene, since it is up to a judge to determine their change and it would be a management that they would have to go through their lawyers to request the transfer.

Castañeda Camarillo added that they are still doing the evaluations of the files of the inmates to make the risk analysis, but so far they have not detected anything that causes alarm.
