The XXVIII edition of the Big Fish 2019 Tournament is confirmed for June 7, 8 and 9 on the Topolobampo boardwalk

In a nice and enjoyable party that is just the preamble to a great sports competition, last night was the official presentation of the Big Fish 2019 Sport Fishing Tournament to be held on June 7, 8 and 9 on the Topolobampo seawall.

The XXVIII edition of the successful competition is now ready and a large participation of fishermen of the region and others coming from different parts of the country is expected in search of the capture of the best species and with it the conquest of the first places of the Categories Marlin black and blue, Rayado, Vela, Tuna, Dorado and Wahoo.

The most pointed competition has an economic purse of three million 600 thousand pesos to distribute among the winners.

The ceremony

The facilities of the EL DEBATE Sports Club were dressed up to be the perfect setting for the official presentation ceremony of the event, which was presided over by the governor of the state of Sinaloa, Qurino Ordaz Coppel, who arrived at the event punctually accompanied by his appreciable wife Mrs. Rossy Fuentes de Ordaz, as well as the director of the Administrative Council of EL DEBATE, Mr. Ildefonso Salido Ibarra and his wife Pilar Artola de Salido.

It was also attended by the director of the naval sector of Topolobampo, Rear Admiral Manuel Olague; the port captain Jesús López Contreras; the president of the State Association of Sport Fishing Miguel Ángel González and the director of the Municipal Sports Institute in Ahome, Felipe Juárez Soto.

In addition to the judge of the competition, the biologist Rafael Arias and the head of the Municipal Committee of Sport Fishing, Mr. Miguel Ángel Robles Usher.  

The president of the Administrative Council of EL DEBATE, Mr. Ildefonso Salido Ibarra, was in charge of welcoming fishermen and special guests.

During the event, a video was shown where different aspects of the great atmosphere of the two days of fishing and the award ceremony of the previous edition developed at the facilities of the Topolobampo Nautical Club were appreciated.

The ceremony also featured the participation of the Banda Surooa Puro, before the fishermen and special guests tasted of delicious Sinaloan dishes with which the event ended.
