Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- The Mazatlan hotel registers 50% reservation levels for the summer vacation period; revealed the director of the Tourist Promotion Office of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies, Julio Birrueta Covarrubias.
He said that according to the records, reservations are up compared to last year, and June is strong and that is what will make a good balance between these months.

Birrueta Covarrubias said that reservations are increasing, and expect to reach only between May and June at 65%, a positive figure for the destination, in comparison with the 30% that was recorded years ago.
He indicated that with the next holiday period it is expected that during the weekends of June and July Mazatlan will be completely filled again, as a significant economic spillover is projected for all sectors of the city.
“The number of hotels has grown, there is more capacity for tourists, we are going to be able to offer spaces and especially the tourist that books in advance, which is what we have been perceiving has increased, “he said.
In the previous summer vacation period, almost one million tourists arrived in Sinaloa, representing 38.3% more than in the same period of the previous year, and an economic income of more than 4 billion pesos.
He noted that in this low season, sports tourism, congresses and conventions, keep some hotels in the Zona Dorada to 90% occupancy.
