Starting on June 6, American Airlines will enter Durango with a daily flight between Durango and Dallas / Fort Worth airports.
This was announced by Vicky Uzal, commercial director of American Airlines for Mexico, in a visit to this city, with the aim of presenting the new route.
“We are proud that Durango joins the American Airlines family, as it is a destination that offers cultural and natural attractions, and that it is emerging as a relevant tourist center,” he said.
He indicated that the US capital company that has projected that the new route will begin operations in less than a month, is confident that it will be very useful to improve the commercial and tourist relations of the entity abroad.
“There is a greater economic boost and connectivity for the state, a situation we celebrate with clients, travel agencies, officials and society in general,” he said.
He continued: “Durango is making history and at American we are proud to be part of it,” said Vicky Uzal.
He recalled that the company arrived in the country in 1942 with a daily flight between Mexico City and Dallas, Texas.
Today Mexico is the country with the most flights of this airline outside the United States.
CONNECTIVITY
For his part, Eleazar Gamboa de la Parra, head of the Ministry of Tourism in the state, said that American Airlines is the airline with the most passengers and frequencies in the world.
Also, the Dallas / Fort Worth airport has connectivity with the entire planet, which favors Durango.
There is also an approach with people who come or go to Las Vegas, Nevada; Denver, Colorado; and other cities in the state of Texas.
This route not only has an impact on the tourist sector, but also on the economic sector in general, since it will become a benchmark for the opening of new companies.
