RIVIERA MAYA- This Monday there was a massive scale of sargassum on the beaches of Cancun . Weather forecasts indicate that the algae could reach the coasts of the entire entity and that this event could last up to 48 hours. This requires that the work of the municipalities and Zofemat of each municipality be redoubled to combat the concentration of seaweed on the coasts.
From the first hours I can see that several of the beaches of Cancun amber filled sargazo.
In response, the crews of municipal employees and brigades hired for this purpose have been working at forced marches, in order to avoid concentrating more algae.
Unfortunately, today it is from those days that the arrival of so much sargassum makes the brown tone of the seaweed look better than the turquoise colors of the Caribbean Sea. And that is why citizens, businessmen and service providers require the three levels of government to address this contingency
