“AMAZING GRACE” Set sail from Mazatlan with a mission of international aid

This Sunday afternoon the Christian movement Youth with a Mission (YWAM) held an emotional ceremony to present the ship “Amazing Grace” (Amazing Grace) at the SENI shipyard, where the last details are made and ready to set sail.

The director of the YWAM program, Juan Carlos Crespo, explained that the “Amazing Grace” will be an extension of what the mission is at the international level, and the first project is to sail the Sea of ​​Cortez to reach areas where there is no access by land. or air, to take medical assistance and the construction of houses.

The boat was equipped with offices to provide medical and dental care, kitchen area and crew cabins. 
The Christian movement plans to arrive with this boat to more isolated areas, difficult to access in the Sea of ​​Cortez.

This mission, made up of close to 100 members, arrived in Mazatlan 15 years ago. It is an international Christian mission movement dedicated to providing young people from all over the world with opportunities to serve.

The ship measures 30.5 meters long and 5.4 meters wide; It weighs 150 tons, has a range of 2 thousand miles, a fuel capacity of 3 thousand 70 gallons and capacity for 25 people.
