Each week there will be a lottery to choose 125 gas stations of the 12 thousand 500 that exist in the country, that is to say one of the total, to review and publicize which service stations They serve “liters of a liter”, announced this morning the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The objective is to keep updated the information on which gas stations are working honestly throughout the national territory.

At a morning press conference at the National Palace, accompanied by the director general of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza, and the holder of the Profeco, Francisco Ricardo Sheffield Padilla, the chief executive announced that the random selection of the 125 service stations is equivalent to one per percent of the total in the country (12 thousand 500), where you can detect, in addition to the prices, who actually serves full liters and who does not.

The federal executive said that this exercise is to make the fuel trade transparent and warned that “the law will be applied so that there are no frauds, so that the popular economy is not affected, that consumers are not affected”.

Due to the large amount of information that this means, he proposed that each Monday, both officials from Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and the Federal Attorney’s Office (Profeco), present the thick data at the beginning of the press conference, to continue with the usual questions and then address the data on fuels.
