A Rough Motorcycle Week is registered in Mazatlan

Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- At least 2 motorcyclists killed and about 20 injured, mostly by skidding, is the official extra result that has been recorded from Wednesday until today, the period in which the Moto Week takes place in the port of Mazatlan

The corporation Angeles Verdes registered both incidents that left two dead on April 25 and 26.

The first event, they said, occurred on the Mazatlán-Durango highway , on the side of the Durango state, where the deceased apparently was heading for the motorcycle festival.

The other accident, they said, occurred at kilometer 95 of the Culiacán-Mazatlán toll road, at the height of the municipality of Elota, where, similarly, the victim allegedly traveled to the port.

From Wednesday to Friday, the corporation learned of at least 6 strong traffic events, most of them motorcycle skidding, mainly on the Mazatlán-Tepic and Mazatlán-Durango highways.

At the Red Cross, paramedics, they commented, until yesterday they registered a motorcycle skid in the Olas Altas pass, at the height of the “Ciudades Hermanas” park.

In this place, the rescuers helped 2 people, a man and a woman, who presented bruises and abrasive wounds in different parts of their bodies.

In the hospital of the meritorious institution, they only knew of the entrance of a person injured by a motorcyclist accident that occurred on Wednesday, on the Durango-Mazatlán highway.

For its part, the Municipal Civil Protection Unit had about 8 people assisted by skids in the area where the motorcycling activity takes place.

During the days of the Motorcycle Week, the Tourist Police applied around 120 calls of attention to motorcyclists for parking or driving on sidewalks.

In that same period, the Municipal Public Services management has collected an average of 50 tons per day, a task in which 50 workers are involved in three shifts.

In the beach area, elements of the Aquatic Salvage Squadron have rescued an average of 15 people, all tourists, work that is part of the operation that the “tritons” implement around the Moto Week, which concludes tomorrow.
