Los Cabos, Baja California Sur .- The Villas del Palmar and Riu Hotels, located in Los Cabos, have started an operation against UBER vehicles in order to “forcibly remove” tourists who do not use the traditional taxi service.

Witnesses point out that the operations have been carried out at points in Cabo San Lucas, such as the Riu Hotel and Villas del Palmar, where the taxi drivers are notified by the security booth and, in turn, they communicate with the transport inspectors to stop the UBER drivers, fine them and remove the vehicle.

“It’s amazing how this type of hotel lends itself to such injustices, the drivers of UBER do not come to do anything bad, they also have families and, they reside in this destination, this government also affects cabeñeñas families with not letting it in” said the María José, who said she was a witness as at the Hotel Villas del Palmar “does not let any UBER vehicle pass by to the facilities, if they come from the center with tourists, they make them get off at the entrance and have to walk in.”
