Mocorito, Sinaloa; to April 26, 2019. – Visiting Mocorito where he went to enjoy the “Plaza Friday”, Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel announced an investment of 5 million pesos to start the transformation work of the Casa de la Cultura de This Magical Town, with the construction of a modern dome, an acoustic shell, which will make it much more functional as a space for artistic and cultural activities.
In the company of his wife Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz and the mayor of Mocorito, Jesús Guillermo Galindo Castro, the president toured the House of Culture “Dr. Enrique González Martínez “, where he appreciated the comprehensive rescue project of these facilities that will involve a total of nearly 10 million pesos as well as a metal roof will be installed air conditioning, a stage for cultural activities, stands, dressing rooms, bathrooms, among others modernization works.

These announcements were made by the president when visiting Mocorito to enjoy the program of “Plaza Friday” that every week attracts hundreds of families to the square to appreciate live music, crafts, traditional cuisine and cultural and sports activities.

“Plaza Friday” is already a tradition in Mocorito since it has been carried out for nearly seven years with the aim of promoting culture, gastronomy, music and handicrafts, and currently serves to promote the economic development of the municipality with a program well positioned that characterizes the Magic Town.
