Pill against HIV AIDS is ready in Mexico

The director of Prevention and Health Promotion in Sinaloa announced that it is in a trial period in some states of the Mexican Republic

Culiacán, Sin.- The drug used to treat and prevent HIV AIDS is in a trial period in some states of Mexico, said the director of Prevention and Health Promotion in Sinaloa, Rafael Felix Espinoza.

He explained that it is a pill called Truvada, and that it is a combination of antiretrovirals, the intended use is for those people who are at risk, that is, they do not have the disease yet, but they live with people who suffer from it.

He reiterated that for the moment said medication is in the stage known as post-marketing to see if it will work or not, and if it works it will be distributed to all health institutions.

He said that the best measure to avoid HIV AIDS is safe sex because it is one of the transmission routes, and the other is through the blood.
