The text disseminated by UBER, requires input that the final suspension granted by a Federal Judge that recognizes that services such as those contracted through Uber are not regulated, allows the entry of the company to the state.
The text indicates that with the aim of providing an additional option of mobility that allows everyone to access a reliable and comfortable trip at the touch of a single button, as well as contributing to the development and economic growth of the state, the Uber application starts today. its operation in the city of Durango.
David Mínguez, UBER’s Communications Manager, said, “We are very happy to begin operations in the state capital, which together with Gómez Palacio and Lerdo, will generate more than 3,200 self-employment opportunities for all Durangoans.” “It should be noted that the entity almost 100 thousand citizens and visitors tried to request a trip in the last three years, which is a sign of the interest that exists to have the application,” the official added.
Similarly, Mínguez stressed that in this line, during 2018 more than 50,000 trips were attempted to contract through Uber, 93% of them corresponded to local users; 7% of the remaining trips were from tourists who visited Durango, from countries of origin such as: United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, among others.

On the other hand, the Autonomous University of Durango, the Juárez University of the State of Durango and the Tecnológico de Monterrey, are the main study centers where the academic community of Durango sought access to a trip.
“Uber is a technology company that facilitates the connection between individuals: a driver who offers a private transport service to those who need to travel. The collaborative economy will allow thousands of Durangoans to access multiple benefits, especially that of having an option that generates additional profits for their families, “added David Mínguez.
