Mazatlan, Sinaloa.-  After recovering part of the positive arrival numbers of cruise ships to Mazatlan, now it is looking to take a much greater leap: that passengers sleep at least one night here.

This morning, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres informed that a meeting with those responsible for the logistics of the arrival of cruise ships to the destination has already been held, and although there is still nothing in particular, the negotiations for this to happen have already begun.

“We are working with the cruise ships to stay at least one day and we can push this destination,” he said in his speech to start the security operation for Easter.

And minutes later, before the media, the municipal president added: “Directly (it is being seen) with whom he coordinates all the cruise trips to Mazatlan, which is about to come and we already have a beginning of talks. We are in that, still talking about it. “

It is not the first time that the authorities are looking for cruise tourists to spend the night in Mazatlan, the topic so far, however, has been proposed.
