Mexico: Adjust your watch! Today begins Day Light Savings Time on border municipalities

771

This measure will only apply to border municipalities, for the rest of the country it will be until April 7

Next Sunday, March 10, the day light savings time begins in 33 municipalities of the northern border strip of the country, which will conclude on November 3.

For this reason it is recommended that the population on Saturday 9 forward one hour their clocks before going to sleep, with the intention that the next day begin their activities with the new schedule.

The change of schedule is expected either at dawn on Sunday at 2:00 am and changing at 3:00 am, although the recommendation is that before going to sleep, people make the change so as not to dawn with confusion.

Most cell phones do the automatic change, but it is better to verify and remember that if you have an analog clock it will be better to modify the schedule from Saturday, before going to sleep.

However, the schedule change will only apply to border cities, since for the interior of the Republic, the schedule will be modified until April 7.

The municipalities where the schedule will be changed are: Baja California: Ensenada, Mexicali, Rosarito, Tecate and Tijuana; Chihuahua: Ascensión, Ciudad Juarez, Coyame, Guadalupe, Janos, Manuel Benavides, Ojinaga and Praxedis G. Guerrero; Coahuila: Ciudad Acuña, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jimenez, Nava, Ocampo, Piedras Negras and Zaragoza; Nuevo León: Anahuac and Aldama.

And in the state of Tamaulipas: Camargo, Ciudad Mier, Ciudad Miguel Alemán, Ciudad Río Bravo, Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, Heroica Matamoros, New Guerrero City, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Rio Bravo and Valle Hermoso
