According to the report of the Ministry of Economy, last year Durango registered an FDI of 170.4 million dollars.

This amount is equivalent to 05 percent of the 31 thousand 604.3 million pesos that were reported to the new country.

It must be remembered that with a total of 97.6 million dollars, in 2017 Durango was the federal entity with the lowest FDI.

However, in 2018 he left that site to be placed in the 24th position at the country level.

Last year, the lowest foreign investment was recorded by Chiapas with 66.8 million dollars, followed by Yucatán with 66.8 million dollars and Nayarit with 94.9 million dollars.

On the other hand, Mexico City is the one that reports the most FDI, with a total of five thousand 843.9 million dollars, followed by Nuevo León with four thousand 260.5 and the neighboring Coahuila with two thousand 737.8 million dollars.

The increase in Foreign Investment for the state from 2017 to 2018 was 72.8 million pesos, that is, 43 percent.

Despite this increase, Durango ended 2018 as the state with the lowest FDI in northern Mexico, with a marked difference in the figures reported by residents.

Between January and December 2018, Mexico registered 31,604.3 million dollars for FDI, 6.4 percent higher than the preliminary figure for the same period of 2017.

Most of this resource came from the United States, Spain, Canada, Germany, Japan and Italy, in that order.Report
