What is the service ?: When you need medical attention and you can not attend your Family Medicine Unit (UMF) for being physically or psychologically disabled, you can request that a Family Doctor come to your home.
Who can do it ?: Family, responsible or entitled who is physically or psychically unable to go to the family practice.
Where can I carry out this procedure ? : In person: at the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) that corresponds to you, on working days from Monday to Friday from 08:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in units with morning shift and from 2:00 p.m. 20:00 hours in units with morning and evening shift.
Telephone route: Calling the UMF telephone number that corresponds to you on working days from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 14:00 hours in units with morning shift and from 2:00 to 20:00 hours in units with morning shift and evening. The service can not be requested online.
What is the cost of this procedure ?: The service is free only for beneficiaries of the IMSS with valid rights.
What documents do I need and what should their characteristics be ?:
- Name of the patient who will receive home health care.
- Social Security number.
- Office and shift.
- Complete address of the patient.
- Phone number.
- Name of the person requesting home health care.
- In-person application in the medical unit of affiliation:
- National Health Primer.
- Complete address of the patient.
- Phone number.
- Current official identification.
- Name of the person requesting home health care. Note: Original documents are required to verify data and request the request.
What information do I need to know before completing this procedure ?:
- You must provide the affiliation number, name, address of the patient with all possible references and telephone number.
