Sinaloa Governor will head a commercial mission to Canada

Culiacán, Sinaloa, March 3, 2019.- With the purpose of promoting strategic mining projects and analyzing the possibility of new investments in the manufacturing industry for Sinaloa, Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel will head a commercial mission in Toronto, Canada, from this Monday 4 and until Wednesday 6 March, within the framework of the PDAC 2019, which is the most important international mining convention, which brings together a thousand exhibitors from 800 mining companies, and brings together 30 thousand attendees from 125 countries .

Parallel to the International Mining Convention called PDAC 2019, which is organized by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (whose acronym in Spanish means: Canadian Association of Prospects and Developers of the Mining Sector), will take place on March 6 in Mexico Mining Day, in charge of the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Mexico.

During his stay in Toronto, within the framework of PDAC 2019, Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel, accompanied by the Secretary of Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado, will promote several strategic mining projects that take place in Sinaloa, such as Minera Pangea / Mc Ewen Mining , in Mocorito; First Majestic Corp, in San Ignacio and El Rosario; Minera Cosalá / Americas Silver Corp, in Cosalá; Dyna Resource of Mexico, in San José de Gracia, Sinaloa de Leyva; Mako Mining / Gold Gold of Mexico in the Rosario and Minera Alamos in Cosalá among others.

In addition to promoting mining projects, Governor Ordaz Coppel will visit four international companies to analyze the possibility of specifying new investments for Sinaloa.

The first of these is Bombardier, a company consolidated as the fourth largest aeronautical manufacturer in the world, with a presence in Mexico with a plant in Querétaro for the production of Learjet 85 aircraft components.

Another visit will be to Linamar Corporation, which is the second largest car parts manufacturer in Canada, and which supplies the automotive and industrial markets with factories in North America, Europe and Asia.

Ordaz Coppel is also scheduled to visit the company Martinrea International Inc., a diversified global provider of the automotive industry, dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal parts, assemblies and modules, complex systems for fluid management and aluminum products.

The fourth company to visit is Burnac Produce LTD, which handles much of the logistics chain of fresh and frozen vegetables in the province of Ontario. It should be noted that Burnac is the main supplier of products for the Subway chain, which has more than 1,300 stores.

Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel will also be accompanied by the governor of Durango, José Rosas Aispuro, to promote joint mining projects between Sinaloa and that entity, and during his stay in Toronto they will also be accompanied by the ambassador of Canada in Mexico, Sara Hradecky.

It should be noted that around the commercial analysis of Sinaloa-Canada, figures indicate that during 2018, the state of Sinaloa maintained economic operations with Canada in the amount of $ 164,158,607.03 USD.

Canada occupies the position number three in destination of exports from Sinaloa with the 2.87 percent of participation, on the other hand, occupies the position number four in origin of imports of Sinaloa with 2.58 percent of participation.

Sinaloa exported $ 96,758,389.17 USD to Canada.
