The exodus of thousands of regional tourists will be on Monday.

Mazatlan, Sin.- The hotels on Del Mar Avenue register an occupation close to 100 percent, with the arrival of tourists who come to enjoy the Carnival.

The president of the Association of Hotels Three Islands, José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, said that since Friday began to rebound the occupation, to reach maximum levels this Saturday.

“The Carnival is an important date, with a high tourist influx and the expectation is to reach 100% for this party of more than 120 years of Mazatlan, which has undoubtedly transcended and involves a family togetherness,” he said.

Manguart Sánchez said that a large part of the carnival groups come from different states of the Republic, such as Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nayarit, Nuevo León and the same state of Sinaloa.

However, he commented that when Carnival is tied with the winter season, there is a mix of nationals with Americans and Canadians.

Many of the foreign tourists have booked in some restaurants of the Del Mar Avenue, to enjoy on Sunday the first parade of floats.

The leader of the hoteliers noted that with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Banda de El Recodo, Carnival is strengthened.

“Without a doubt, an event of this kind puts Mazatlan on the map, nationally and internationally, and above all that the destination continues to host important events,” he said.
