The senator of the Republic Mario Zamora Gastélum, confirmed that he is working on the initiative, which has to do with the regularization of cars of foreign origin, or the so-called carros chocolate, which was one of the commitments he made during the campaign.

The Sinaloa legislator said that this initiative is in the commissions and since then is in contact with the automotive industry, which has expressed its position in favor of legalization, but announced that you can not get the subject before because there are many situations that have to do with the free trade agreement.

“We put an initiative which is in the commissions and we have been very in touch with the automotive industry and others, we can not get it out before because there are many components that have to do in this sector, with what was signed in the Free Trade Agreement with Mexico and Canada, “he said.

Zamora Gastélum announced that once the treaty was ratified and after holding meetings with those involved, it will try to rule promptly and then wait for the support of deputies and senators from all the parties to bring the issue forward.

Senator Mario Zamora reiterated that this issue can not be removed if the Senate does not ratify the Free Trade Agreement with the United States and Canada, but assured that work is being done on the issue.
