With the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Banda de El Recodo, the maximum celebration of Buenos Aires begins, said Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.
Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- For this edition of the Mazatlan International Carnival 2019, the attendance of 1.3 million people is expected during the seven days of celebration, both national and local tourists, said Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.
The first mayor said that the maximum celebration of Buenos Aires began practically this Wednesday with the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Banda de El Recodo and the inauguration of the Carnival Fair.
It will be seven days of celebration, of celebrating our traditions, of uniting the Mazatlecos and celebrating in a big way; we will have amazing shows and concerts, like the coronation of the King of Carnival, with the presentation of Chuy Lizárraga; the coronation of the Floral Games, with the Blue Angels and the Coronation of the Carnival Queen, with the duet of Emanuel and Mijares, “he said.
The Munícipe stressed that the expectations in economic spill, and hotel occupation, are very high, even some lodging centers are already at the top of reservations and that is very good for the tourist destination.
“We expect over 1.3 million attendees. Economic gains between 300 million pesos and 520 million pesos, a 100 percent hotel occupancy and even, all the hotels are already booked, full, there are already many tourists in Mazatlan, “he said.
The Mayor said that only for the parade of Carnival, on Sunday, estimate a presence of 500 thousand spectators; and for that, the government will not allow the rent of saddle or tents on Avenida del Mar.
“We will leave 30 spaces reserved, for a capacity between 100 and 150 people. We are going to keep it safe and those will be opened so that le gante arrives at 12:00 noon, “he said.
The mayor clarified that the bathrooms in the carnival area will be free, also in the event of “Cara al Pueblo” he raffled a motorcycle and the winner, took it out of a raffle; in which all the people who came for their free ticket to attend a coronation participated.
