“In Mazatlán, the issue of public bicycle has been a success; from February 1 to February 17, more than 10,000 trips have been reported. This shows us that we have almost 600 daily users, “he explained.

Gandarilla García highlighted the success of this program, since each bicycle in other cities is used four times and is considered successful, in Mexico City it is used seven times and in Mazatlan eight times a day.
Although there are only 77 bicycles, it is expected that soon 300 bicycles will be reached and the cyclopuertos will expand to Olas Altas.
“What you want to do, rather than create infrastructure, is to make a signage that allows you to identify the access points for cyclists, we must continue promoting the road culture of respect for those who move on foot, because Sinaloa is one of the cities (Culiacán), where most cyclists die, “he said.
