The Secretary of Tourism, Óscar Pérez Barros, inaugurated the “I Festival of Northwest Wines”, based at the Art Museum of Mazatlán, which will take place between today and tomorrow, with the participation of wine wineries of great renown nationally and internationally.

The state official, after congratulating the organizers of the festival for this type of initiative, stressed that they agreed on the objective they bring, in addition to being the first to be done in the northwest of the country, with a program that contains talks with outstanding personalities of the world of the vine; It is an event in which the best wine producers and marketers in the country are, as well as abroad, he added.

In Sinaloa and Mazatlan, argued the owner of the Sectur, we have a great cuisine, one of the most important in the country and we must support it, taking into account that we have the ideal scenario in this city, which, accompanied by a good wine and our kitchen, they become one of the tourist products that the visitor is looking for today.

He expressed that he is working hand in hand with the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry- Canirac-, with all the restaurants, so that they can make favorable alliances with the producers that are here since they bring the best wholesale prices.

For its part, Justo Malochino, organizer of the event said that the objective of this festival is to spread the wine culture in the region in which they will be known what is produced in Mexico, in addition to positioning Mazatlan within the world map of the It came as an important point of promotion and dissemination, with the idea in addition to improving the tourist offer of the port with the recruitment of enophiles and enoturists interested in discovering new cultural horizons.
