Cold Front 36 moves across Mexico

Government of Mexico, issues the following notice: “NORTH” EVENT IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND ISTHMUS OF TEHUANTEPEC, AS WELL AS HEAVY RAINS TO VERY STRONG IN THE SOUTHEAST AND PENINSULA OF YUCATÁN, ARISING FROM THE COLD FRONT No. 36 For this day, the  cold front No. 36 , will originate heavy rains to punctual very strong in the southeast of the country and in the Yucatan Peninsula. The  mass of air associated with the front will favor the “North” event in the south of the Gulf of Mexico, the Isthmus and the Gulf of Tehuantepec, as well as the northern component winds with gusts of over 50 km / h in the Yucatan Peninsula. it is expected to decrease in intensity at the end of the day. On the other hand, the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean to the northwest and north of Mexico, favored by the jet stream, will cause strong gusts of wind in the regions mentioned, as well as intervals of showers in Baja California. Precipitation forecast for today February 13, 2019:



Strong storms to very strong (50 to 75 mm)
 : Oaxaca and Chiapas. Intervals of showers with strong point storms (25 to 50 mm) : Veracruz, Tabasco, Yucatán and Quintana Roo. Intervals of showers (5.1 to 25 mm) : Baja California, Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla and Campeche. Isolated rains (0.1 to 5.0) : Sonora, Tamaulipas, Mexico City, State of Mexico and Tlaxcala.
