Shortage of gasoline causes lowers road tourism that visits Mazatlan

Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- Given the shortage of gasoline that exists in some states of the country, has caused the decrease in the arrival of road tourists to Mazatlan on weekends, revealed the leader of the Cooperative of Pneumonia, Mariano Ortega Vizcarra.

He acknowledged that there is fear on the part of the different sectors of the port, for the supply of gasoline that we are hoping will not affect the local economy.

He said that although there have been no problems of shortage of fuel here in Mazatlan, could affect input shortages in spare parts, food, and tourism arrival.

Manifestó, that on weekends has felt a drop in tourists arriving in their vehicles from Jalisco, Nayarit, Durango, and Zacatecas.

“With the uncertainty situation of not knowing until when the supply is going to be resolved in the center of the country, there are no conditions that guarantee the supply to be able to move and come to enjoy a few days in Mazatlan,” he said.

Ortega Vizcarra added that the winter season has been one of the best in the history of Mazatlan, with record numbers in terms of the arrival of domestic and foreign tourists.

He stressed that the most important issues for a greater number of tourists to visit the destination are the international projection of the Tourism Tianguis and the improvement of the tourist infrastructure.

He added that the cruise season has helped to maintain the demand for pneumonia service, this week two ships arrived with thousands of visitors that significantly rebound the occupation.
