More pedestrian streets to explore Durango Mexico

With the unity and work of the three levels of Government, Durango advances in tourism and commercial development.

In co-responsibility with neighbors and merchants, the governor José Rosas Aispuro Torres fulfilled one more of his commitments with Durango and development of the city, delivering the semi-pedestrian tourist corridor “Dolores del Río”.

With an investment of 11 million pesos, the inauguration of the semi-pedestrian street Hidalgo, is part of the improvement of the urban image of the Dolores del Río corridor, and includes the section from 5 de Febrero street to 20 de Noviembre Avenue, where works of renovation of facades, tile or stone on the street, placement of bicycle paths, flying buttresses, gardens, and benches were made.

“Durango continues to boost tourism with an impact on economic growth,” said the governor and announced that works will continue to give new face to the city as: renovation of facades, extension of corridors, pedestrian streets and the modernization of the Gómez Palacio market, in the Historic Center of the city.

Aispuro Torres recognized the joint work of the three levels of government to carry out this type of work that transforms the city, in addition to providing more spaces of healthy coexistence.
