The works continue at the New Mexico International Airport, despite the fact that the Secretary of Communications and Transport, Javier Jiménez Espriú, assured that they finished in December.

The works in Texcoco for the New Mexico International Airport continue, despite the fact that the Secretary of Communications and Transport, Javier Jiménez Espriú, assured today that they were “totally detained.”  From 7:00 hours, dozens of employees arrived at the municipality of the State of Mexico where this project started during the government of Enrique Peña Nieto.

Workers interviewed by Milenio said they did not know if the works would stop or when this situation would occur because they assure that their superiors have not given them any notification.

The works are still in Texcoco / Javier Ríos. At various points of the NAIM , there is still machinery in motion, as well as the entry and exit of cargo vehicles with construction material.  The works are safeguarded by personnel of the Federal Police and security elements of the State of Mexico.
