The Ministry of Health recommended that vulnerable population be vaccinated in the health centers for FREE.
The Ministry of Health reported that so far in the current winter season have registered a thousand 503 cases of influenza and 103 people have died.
According to the epistemological bulletin, of the thousand 443 cases of influenza in the country, 1,994 correspond to the strain AH1N1; 171 type B; 64 of virus A and 14 of H3N2. Of the people who have died due to influenza 91 are due to AH1N1, seven due to type A influenza and five due to type B influenza. The entities with the highest incidence of cases are Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz, State of Mexico and Sonora. The health unit recommended that the vulnerable population get vaccinated in health centers, mainly children under six years of age, elderly people, pregnant women, those suffering from chronic degenerative diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, and HIV.
