Sinaloa-Durango lobbying for dredging of port and railroad

In 2019 Mazatlan will have natural gas for industries and domestic for 13 thousand homes.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Sinaloa and Durango will work in tandem with the new federal authorities to land the dredging projects of the port and the freight train that unites both entities highlighted Javier Lizárraga Mercado.

The head of the State Secretariat of Economy , stressed that these projects are of vital importance to take off the economic development of the Northern Economic Corridor , as well as the industrial strength and trade that will come along with natural gas.

He said that together with the API they will insist on dredging the Port, so as not to lose the project, as they have already secured 1,250 million pesos and could receive more vessels of a greater draft.

Lizárraga Mercado added that natural gas arrives in Sinaloa , and has even already carried out tests in Topo II, the first of the two plants built by Iberdrola in San Miguel.

He said that in the case of Mazatlán, the first quarter has contemplated the supply for industries and in April for some homes.

He added that in the first stage, 11 thousand homes in Ahome will have natural gas, 13 thousand in Culiacán and 11 thousand in Mazatlan.

“Fenosa is inviting me to come to a home address here in Mazatlan, in April or May, next year and for large users, we have it for the first quarter,” he said.

The Secretary of State Economy recalled that with natural gas savings for the commercial area will be 40 and 60%, while for households will range between 18 and 22%.
