Cosalá Sinaloa will celebrate the Candle Light Festival Dec 11

It is a traditional tour on the main streets lit by the candlelight of the municipality.

On December 11, the municipality of Cosalá will hold the “Fiesta de las Velas” the most important festivity of the place. Being unique in its class throughout Mexico for its way of celebrating, is a cultural festival whose purpose is to enrich its participants, filling them with peace and spiritual tranquility.

What distinguishes this celebration are the candles that neighbors place on the facades and sidewalks of their homes in order to guide the Virgin to bless their homes.

The director of Tourism of Cósala, Héctor Ruiz Fonseca makes an attentive invitation to the whole community to be part of this beautiful tradition that has been carried out for more than 300 years.

Cosalá is one of the 4 magical towns of Sinaloa, recognized for its architecture, its rich gastronomy, its legends, and its picturesque landscapes and this is a unique opportunity to know its magic.
