Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- On Monday Dec. 3rd, students and teachers of the Multiple Care Center (CAM) 50, together with municipal authorities, commemorated the International Day of Disability, within the framework of the Civic Monday program.

Student William Ignacio Herrera Trejo, highlighted the honor of celebrating this day at his school and asked Mayor Luis Guillermo “El Químico” Benítez Torres to build a multipurpose room for the development of skills, as well as benches and tables adapted for handicapped students.

“As you can see we do not have benches or tables to eat at recess, to share in healthy coexistence, do not forget about us, we are eagerly waiting with fondness for the inauguration of our multipurpose room, ” said the student.

Rosario Saucedo Ramírez, principal at CAM 50, endorsed the request of the student William Ignacio after stressing that the educational institution is the only one in the southern part of the state that belongs to the program full-time and in which 95% of the population is served from the periphery of the city.

Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres promised to use part of the resource labeled to support education to these requests, after recognizing the daily work of children with different abilities, teachers and parents to integrate this social sector to a normal life within the local society.
