Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Mazatlan will have a 67% increase in the arrival of cruise ships next year, confirmed Tourism Secretary of Sinaloa , Óscar Pérez Barros.

He said that this year will close with 90 tourist boats and so far by 2019 they have confirmed 149.

Interesting things come from cruises, to start with, there are two large cruises, one from Carnival with five thousand passengers and another from Princess Cruises with more than four thousand international visitors. Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Óscar Pérez Barros.

Pérez Barros added that, by the end of next year, a small cruise with just over 400 passengers from the Vidanta group could start operations.

“It’s going to start at the end of next year that will be Los Cabos-Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta that is only for those who have their timeshare with the company and this is not counted,” he said.

On the other hand, the state official added that, very good things come in the national connectivity, mainly with the airline Viva Aerobús.

He indicated that Mazatlán has a great opportunity in national connectivity and they even bring a project with TAR to connect Mazatlán with El Bajío.
