Mazatlan reports that hotel occupancy will remain above 95 percent.

The closing of Del Mar Avenue complicates tourist seasons, but for hoteliers, it has been worth it.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The Association of Hotels and Motels Tres Islas reports a 95 percent occupancy due to the International Pacific Marathon, which will be held tomorrow and Sunday.

José Ramón Manguart Zazueta, head of that organization, is confident that the hotel sector of Mazatlan will have a good closing of the year.
Estimates that from November 26 to December 3, hotel occupancy will remain above 95 percent.

We expect there to be an increase in the influx of international tourists, since the growth was barely 0.7 percent, according to the numbers reported by OMA, concessionaire of the Rafael Buelna International Airport.

It has not been a bad year for Mazatlan, says the hotel leader, but the closure of the pier due to regeneration works has complicated the tourist seasons.

It is the price that turisteros have had to assume, but it has been worth it, because we have a new pier, worthy of being presumed and that will undoubtedly attract more visitors, he argued.

Manguart Zazueta announced that they will propose to the Secretary of Tourism a promotion project for tourists to learn that Mazatlan has a new pier and strengthen the regional market with broadcast programs in Chihuahua, Coahuila and Nuevo Leon.
