Canadian woman dies in road accident in Mazatlan

The deceased was from Canada and had come every year to spend the holiday season in Mazatlan.

Mazatlan, Sin.- A woman of Canadian origin who was admitted to the emergency room of a private clinic in the area with injuries caused by a car that ran her over was declared lifeless on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Municipal Transit section, the accident occurred on the Salaro Cerritos Avenue in front of the Marina Garden subdivision, a place where the tourist tried to cross over to the central median without noticing the presence of a blue Ford van.

The closed Escape van was driven north on the left lane by a woman who stopped them after the accident.

Paramedics from a private clinic attended and transferred urgently to the woman who in life responded to the name of Linda Beverly, 59 years old.

Staff of the Apollo Research Group and agents of the public tourist ministry testified to the death to order the transfer of the victim to the funeral home that will take charge of their repatriation.

The victim was from Canada and had come as every year to spend the holiday season in Mazatlan, hospital staff communicated with Linda’s relatives for the claim of the body.

The driver of the van was taken to testify about the events and take responsibility for the fatal accident.
