AMLO Cabinet will analyze if it is viable to extend contract with Formula 1

The next secretary of Tourism at the federal level said that studies will be conducted to know the cost-benefit

Miguel Torruco, proposed as next Secretary of Tourism in the cabinet of Andrés Manuel
López Obrador said that it is being analyzed if it is viable to extend the contract with
Formula 1.

“We are just going to carry out the studies to see the cost-benefits and, above all, we
see how much the current administration leaves us because I remind them that we are
going to enter a period of austerity,” he said.

Torruco recalled that “we are going to enter a period of austerity, but austerity gives
more creativity to do things, we must be more realistic and not be indebted so that
tomorrow our future generations have greater viability in a better country”.

t is worth mentioning that the current Formula 1 contract still contemplates 2019
Grand Prix of Mexico.

Regarding the issue of the NFL in Mexico, Torruco recalled that “the football game is
already paid and obviously it is going to continue with that same contract and that the
information already analyzed is met.”
