MEXICO: ADVERTISES JOB FAIRS FOR MIGRANTS

The Interior Minister, Alfonso Navarrete Prida, said that the Mexican government “will take the necessary actions” to prevent an incident of greater proportions occurring on the border if the migrants try to forcefully enter the United States.

“We are going to take the necessary actions to prevent an incident of greater proportions on the border from occurring,” he told a news conference.

He said that before the risk, the government of Mexico initiated a dialogue with the US authorities and the organizers of the caravan to offer migrants opportunities that do not represent any type of risk.

The STPS and the CCE put at the disposal of national workers and for the migrant caravan between 7 thousand and 10 thousand jobs, as long as the migrants regularize their legal situation in the country.

The first job fair will be held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and another in Tijuana, Baja California; thus, a series of computer modules on the route followed by Central Americans to the United States.
