Soccer superstar and Dorados de Sinaloa head coach Diego Maradona raise funds for storm victims

The Argentine Diego Armando Maradona, coach of the Dorados de Sinaloa professional soccer team, attended a dinner organized to raise funds for the victims affected by Tropical Storm 19E and Hurricane Willa in the state of Sinaloa.

The soccer club, along with the National System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF), were in charge of organizing the event called “A dinner with a cause with Diego Maradona” in the restaurant North 33 of the city of Culiacán, capital of Sinaloa.

“We (soccer players) have too much, I arrive at my house and wonder: why do I have so much and some people have nothing?” As a sports organization we have a commitment with Sinaloa, not only talking about soccer, but to help the people who lost everything in the hurricane, ” Maradona stated.

An auction of sporting goods was also held to increase the amount of funds raised.Diego Maradona arrived at the event along with his girlfriend, Rocío Oliva.
