Mazatlan Aquatic Squad joins search for two missing women in norhtern Sinaloa

The Mazatlan Municipal Police Aquatic Squad joined the search for two, of the three women disappeared in the flow of the Piojo river, during the heavy rains that hit the state of Sinaloa.

The Aquatic Squad arrived at the site with different aquatic and terrestrial equipment to search the channels of the Culiacán, Humaya and Piojo rivers, where last Monday the body of the young Andrea del Rosario 28 years old was found.

The Director of the State Preventive Police, Carlos Alberto Hernández Leyva, stated that various police corps, volunteers, navy and army corporations are trying to find the bodies of the women who are still missing, 87-year-old Rosa and 45-year-old Carmen.

Hernández Leyva explained that military personnel with trained dogs search at various points for signs of where the bodies of the two women can be half-submerged or buried under tons of branches, trash, and debris.

Several groups of volunteers have been searching the area, where last Monday the body of the young Andrea del Rosario, mother of three minors, was found. She died while trying to help Mrs. Rosa “N” to cross. the stream, in the capital of the State of Sinaloa.
