Thousands of Mazatlecos celebrate the traditional Grito de Independencia

With a single voice, those present echoed the esplanade as they sang the Mexican national anthem. One of the most applauded moments among the citizens was caused by endless pyrotechnic games that illuminated every corner of the sky.

Thousands of Mazatlecos celebrated the cry of independence in the Republica Plazuela, a place where the love and pride of being Mexican felt on the skin.

In the place, the little ones stood out wearing typical clothes of the nation; Excited, they walked with their families while admiring the dazzling decorations in green, white and red.

The maximum patriotic symbol stood out with its great splendor.

The sweet aroma of the snacks was not long in coming; corn, tacos, scrapings, fresh waters, among others, satiated the hunger of those present while the most anticipated moment of the night arrived.

Minutes before 23:00, the trumpets and drums of the Mexican Army’s war band began to sound to welcome the national flag, which was received by the Mayor José Joel Boucieguez Lizárraga.

After the official protocol, the president went to the main balcony of the municipal palace to raise the national flag, while he recalled the heroes who gave us homeland and freedom.

Undoubtedly, the response of the Mazatlecos made the heart of everyone present throb with emotion.

At the end of the traditional ceremony, “La  Sonora Dinamita” began to dance to the thousands of Mazatlecos present with their wide repertoire full of music, cumbia and seasoning.
