The commitment to the tourism industry in Sinaloa is no longer stopped even by the political changes in Mexico.

Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel and the president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Mazatlan, Carlos Berdegué Sacristán, met with Miguel Torruco Marqués, future Secretary of Tourism in the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador .

The meeting was held in Mexico City and allowed Sinaloaans to show Sinaloa’s strategy to grow tourism.

“He explained everything that is being done in terms of tourism promotion in the three regions of the state,” said Berdegué Sacristán.

The presentation included a chart of flights, where you can see the growth it has had, not only Mazatlan, but the central area and the north of Sinaloa, with a greater number of flights and tourists.

The relationship of Torruco Marqués with the Sinaloans comes from a long time ago, when Ordaz Coppel held the position of Director of Tourism Promotion in the Federal District, in 1997.

In addition, the next Secretary of Tourism had a long friendship with Don Julio Berdegué, father of Berdegué Sacristán

Torruco Marqués was satisfied with the results shown in the tourist attraction and reminded the Sinaloans that he is interested in knowing the Historical Center of Mazatlan.

Ordaz Coppel and Berdegué Sacristán agreed to continue working as a team with Torruco Marqués, to continue strengthening Sinaloa’s tourism strategy.

The future undersecretary of Tourism, Humberto Hernández Haddad, accompanied them at the meeting.
