Motorcyclist accidents in Mazatlan increase 10%

Head of paramedics of the Red Cross says that most of the injured are young people who do not wear protective helmets.

MAZATLÁN._ An increase of 10 percent on average in accidents on motorcycles has been registered at the port of Cruz Roja Mazatlan, in recent weeks.

Hanaí Chávez Mejía, chief of paramedics at the well-deserved institution, said that unfortunately some of these accidents have killed several young people.

He acknowledged that at first it was thought that only by wearing a helmet could one avoid the loss of human lives, but that is not the case.
