State government launches works on Sinaloa airport access road

Quirino Ordaz (pictured), governor of Sinaloa, launched works on Wednesday August 29 for an access road to the International Airport of Culiacán. With this project, Culiacán, the state capital, will become one of the cities with greater development and dynamism in the country, because this work encourages economic mobility and investment.

This was stated by governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel, during the ceremony to announce the start of this high quality project, which will invest resources in the order of 200 million pesos, in the new road that will be more than 2 kilometers long .

He stressed the importance of building peripheral rings in strategic areas of the big cities of the state, with the purpose of improving road mobility.

Quirino Ordaz emphasized that this is a work of great importance and great future for Culiacán, since it comes not only to improve road mobility but to enhance the development of the center of the state because it will allow to communicate the international highway Mexico 15 with the airport, saving time to those who come from the north and south of the state.

During the technical explanation, the Secretary of Public Works, Osbaldo López Angulo, informed that a main boulevard of 2.2 kilometers will be built, with four lanes of circulation (3.5 meters wide each), central ridges (four meters wide), as well as as two side streets of 6 meters wide of road and sidewalks of 3 meters wide on both sides of the road.

This work also includes the construction of two level bridges, one of 22 linear meters at the junction of Channel 7 and the other 13 meters over the pluvial drainage of the area. Likewise, a bridge with a length of 91.50 meters will be built on the Benito Juárez Highway.

In addition, he said that two roads will be built within the area of the ​​Culiacán International Airport, in order to connect to its hangars and facilities.
