Mazatlán-Durango four-lane highway ready to open on Aug. 31

“After the different tests carried out on the Mazatlán-Durango highway, up to the site known as Carrizo, it is finally ready to open up to four lanes,” assured Hector Garcia Fox, delegate, in Sinaloa of the Communications and Transport Secretariat (SCT).

The opening of the four lanes of the Mazatlán-Durango highway will take place on Friday, August 31 at 10:00 pm.

The rehabilitation of this section of the highway had a cost 160 million pesos (8.4 million USD).

The official explained that at the moment they are still finishing minor details near the tunnel. As of Thursday August 30, they were carrying out general cleaning, painting of marks on the pavement and removal of protective signage, in order to be ready for the opening of the road on Friday Aug. 31 at 10 PM.
