This Monday, the traffic was interrupted at the height of kilometer 162 after a collapse of a hill, product of the rains registered in the region, totally blocking the two lanes of the road.

After intense work for the removal of rocks that blocked traffic, the free highway that connects Mazatlán with Durango was reopened to the circulation on a provisional basis.

This Monday, the traffic was interrupted at the height of kilometer 162 on that road after a collapse of a hill, product of the rains registered in the region, completely blocking the two lanes of the road.

Thus, the governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, together with his counterpart from Durango, José Rosas Aispuro Torres, coordinated management efforts to collaborate in the work that would allow the reopening of this road that communicates to both destinations.

It should be reiterated that the circulation will be alternated, and it is expected that this Wednesday will continue with the work of blasting rocks of large dimensions, taking all possible care with support from the Federal Police and Civil Protection.

I exhort the population that circulates on this road, is to do so with due caution and, above all, following the directions of the road authorities and civil protection.
