As a way of saying “thank you” to the Mazatlecos who made him the next Mayor of the city, Luis Guillermo “El Químico” Benítez made a caravan through the main streets of the port.

Greetings from a yellow Safari, the Mayor elected by the party Morena, took to the streets wrapped by almost a kilometer of vehicles, which followed him from the city center to the popular colonies.

On July 1, “El Químico” Benítez managed to defeat his opponents in the race for the most desired mayoralty in Sinaloa and became the first elected mayor who managed to break with the hegemony of the PAN AND the PRI, in recent decades.

With a clear and forceful triumph and without any objection against, Benitez got the Mayor’s office, dragged by the “AMLO effect”, becoming Municipal President, the second time he tried.

He had previously announced that after receiving his certificate of winning candidate and taking a few days off after the hustle and bustle of the electoral process, he would hold several thank-you events for his voters.
