Eighteen wheeler catches fire on the Mazatlán – Culiacán highway.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- An eighteen wheeler carrying corn ended up being consumed by flames on the south lane of the Mazatlán – Culiacán highway.
The vehicle started to catch fire precisely on Km 75.

Public workers alerted the driver of the unit that the back of the trailer was in flames. The man descended from the unit with a woman who was riding with him.

After a few minutes the fire increased and warning was given to Volunteer Firemen of the Cross. Two machines were not enough to extinguish the fire and another water pipe was necessary.

The traffic was collapsed for a few minutes while the vehicle was being towed out.

According to data gathered at the site, the fire started when the truck’s engine overheated.
