Authorities of Sinaloa will ask the CFE to apply the 1F tariff, the lowest, in the municipalities of Mazatlán, El Rosario, Escuinapa, and Navolato.
The municipalities of Ahome, Guasave, Salvador Alvarado and Culiacán have it in a fixed manner.
This was reported during an event held in El Fuerte, consisting of the acquisition of nine environmental temperature monitoring booths, which will be installed in nine of the 18 municipalities of Sinaloa, a bulletin is reported.
With the objective of obtaining the minimum temperature averages required by the Federal Electricity Commission to make the recommendation to the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit so that Sinaloa may have lower electricity rates, the Government of Sinaloa through the Secretariat of Sustainable Development acquired the aforementioned cabins.
The Secretariat of Sustainable Development, in coordination with the Federal Electricity Commission, implements measures to count permanently with the 1F tariff in more municipalities, since only the municipalities of Ahome, Guasave, Salvador Alvarado and Culiacán have it permanently.
The society of Sinaloa demands that electricity rates be lowered, as they increase as a result of high temperatures during the summer (which is why the use of refrigeration appliances is multiplied).
It will be in the Magical Town of El Fuerte where the Örst environmental temperature monitoring station will be installed, which was delivered today by the secretary of state sustainable development, Martha Robles Montijo, to the municipal president, Antonio Cota González.
In his message, Robles Montijo said that”the nine stations will be located in the urban centers of the municipalities of El Fuerte, Ahome, Guasave, Salvador Alvarado, Culiacan, Navolato, Mazatlan, El Rosario and Escuinapa.
“With this we will be able to obtain the minimum temperature averages, which are 33 degrees Celsius per year required, to obtain lower rates in most of the Sinaloa territory.”
Cota González thanked the Government of Sinaloa, because when installing the cabin and having the exact measurement of the temperature, the CFE could be requested to have 1F rates.
In this way the benefit will reach families because it will affect their economy, he added.
It is important to note that the energy rates for Sinaloa are assigned by the SHCP based on the temperature measurement recorded by the National Water Commission, which are installed at points where the actual temperature of the municipalities is not re×ected.
For that reason, the Sedesu in coordination with the CNA acquired nine more stations to place them in the municipalities where the highest temperatures are registered during the year, which will be installed in the urban area, and once they are operating they will measure the real temperature in the city.
With this, an annual average can be obtained, and with these elements the Government of Sinaloa may request the CFE to adapt the 1F tariff permanently for the State.
It should be noted that each year the governor in turn manages the subsidy to the SHCP so that electricity rates 1D and 1E are charged as a 1F tariff, which only applies during the months of May to October of each year.
Now, thanks to the environmental temperature monitoring that the cabins will record, the minimum annual average temperature that the Federal Electricity Commission requires by regulation will be obtained to make the recommendation for changing the tariff to the SHCP, and implement the new ones.
