Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- “On Tuesday May 8, in Mexico City, the new concept of the Chepe Express train is presented by Ferrocarriles Mexicanos (Ferromex)”, highlighted the Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Marco Antonio García Castro.

This luxury train will cover a route for Sinaloa, which will connect Los Mochis and El Fuerte with Copper Canyon (Barrancas del Cobre) and back.

The first trip will be made on May 15, and this will undoubtedly benefit the state of Sinaloa, since it will attract more national and international tourism.

The possibility that the train makes a stop in Mazatlan would require a very strong private investment, and it is not considered feasible in the short term. However, a circuit recently planned, will include a tour of passengers from Mazatlan to Los Mochis by bus, and from there, by train to Copper Canyon (Barrancas del Cobre).

This route will have three weekly departures, at 4:00 p.m. from Los Mochis to reach Copper Canyon at 9:00 p.m. This attraction will benefit the states of Sinaloa and Chihuahua.

The train features four HD screens, a bar, professional audio system and luxury bathrooms.

These types of trips are highly demanded by national and international tourists, but mostly by foreigners.

The Sinaloa State Secretary of Tourism, Marco Antonio García Castro, stressed that the project was announced during the Tourism Tianguis 2018, which was held from April 16 to 18, and on May 17, Chepe Express will make the first trip from Los Mochis to Copper Canyon.

This tourist class offers visitors the chance to live an unforgettable experience. It consists of six passenger cars divided into two classes: tourist and executive, with a capacity for 60 passengers each.
